  • ½ Onion, sliced
  • Oil
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • KNORR beef cubes, crumbled
  • Blended tomato, red pepper and chilli mix
  • Peri peri spice
  • Fresh thyme, chopped
  • Paprika
  • Sugar
  • Herbs
  • Coarse black pepper
  • 2 large or 4 small Steak – T Bone or sirloin, bought whole

Peri peri steak and onions
  1. Fry the onion and garlic in the oil until lightly browned.

  2. In a bowl, mix the crumbled KNORR beef cubes, peri peri spice, paprika, coarse black pepper, chopped thyme, herbs, sugar.

  3. Coat the steaks well with the spice mix and then fry in the same pan as the onion until browned.

  4. Add the chilli, tomato, pepper mix and herbs and simmer for 15 minutes.

  5. Serve with rice or chips.
